Food Services

Food can make or break any event. Our cooks serve yummy, vegetarian meals that inspire our guests to write thank you letters and request recipes–which we are happy to share. Most groups are thrilled to let us do the cooking. The cafeteria provides delicious lacto-ovo vegetarian buffet-style meals. Food Service is available for groups of all sizes. However, meal service times and menus may vary depending on group size. Special banquets, brunch menus, vegan options & snacks may be available (for an additional charge) by special arrangement at least two weeks prior to the event.

Cooking Facilities for Groups

If your group wishes to handle its own cooking, or if there are not going to be enough guests at camp during your stay to reach the food service minimums, there are two facilities available for your use. For details on their size, equipment and cost please click the links below.

Leoni Food Service

Our two professional cooks and their staff have served more fabulous meals than we can count, and we are equipped to cook for and feed up to 500 people per meal. Our dining room can seat 250-300 with an outdoor patio for those who would like to eat alfresco. Meals are served buffet-style and guests are welcome to eat all they wish–although we do ask that food not be taken out of the dining room. In addition to three square meals a day, we often provide special catering services such as:

  • Snacks
  • Hot drink services
  • Break refreshments
  • Buffet receptions
  • Special diets
  • Other special events as requested

Note: We prepare lacto-ovo vegetarian meals, and can provide vegan options if you request. Our cooks are happy to work with you to determine the menus that will best satisfy your group.

Cost

Meals are typically paid for as part of registration or when checking in. This allows guests to carry only their meal ticket to each meal. It also simplifies the process and speeds up our meal lines. For pre-ordered meals the prices are:

Prepaid meal rates
Adults (ages 11+): $11.25/meal
Children (ages 4-10): $8.25/meal
Infants (ages 0-3): free

We certainly can and are happy to accommodate some people who just show up for a meal although they have not made arrangements in advance. In these cases, meal prices are higher and we do ask that diners go upstairs to the office to settle up for these meals since we are not set up to take payment in the dining room.

Note: Some youth groups may qualify for discounted meal rates. Please ask our staff about this when making your reservations.

Necessary Minimums

We do ask that groups have a minimum number of diners in order for us to offer food service. To justify the staffs time, we need at least 35 people per meal. The minimum can be filled by counting not only your group but also any other groups who are using our food service for the same meals.

Special Arrangements & Diets

Vegetarian meals: We choose to serve lacto-ovo vegetarian meals as part of a healthy lifestyle. However, we can plan vegan options or other menus as your group needs. If your group has other dietary requirements please let us know when you make your reservations. Our cooks will talk with you and explore possible options.

Special arrangements: In addition to the three traditional meals each day, we often provide special catering services. When you make your group reservations, just let our staff know and they will put you in touch with the cooks so you can let us know what you want, pick menus and communicate any specific needs. Some of the common catering services we provide include:

Special diets: While we can’t cook separate meals for each member of your group, our cooks are familiar with common dietary concerns such as diabetes, low sodium, etc. Let us know if you have group members who need special diets––we’ll do what we can to accommodate those needs through additional dishes or by providing information on ingredients so they can make informed choices.
